Biography
I’m a trained economist, computer scientist and researcher. As an independent consultant, I work with frontier and open-source AI models, APIs and harnesses to solve complex challenges faced by organizations. As a researcher, I have challenged long-standing paradigms in explainable AI, developed novel methods to make AI more trustworthy and criticized hyperbolic claims about AGI. I am an open-sourve advocate and the founder and maintainer of Taija–an ecosystem of packages for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence in Julia.
Previously, I worked as an economist for Bank of England where I was involved in research, monetary policy, market intelligence and software development. I hold a Ph.D. from Delft University of Technology, two masters degrees from Barcelona School of Economics in data science and economics and finance, and an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Edinburgh.
